{"id":2838,"date":"2023-03-11T04:28:25","date_gmt":"2023-03-11T04:28:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ojs.org.uk\/website\/live\/?page_id=2838"},"modified":"2025-07-16T10:52:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T10:52:11","slug":"organisation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ojs.org.uk\/website\/live\/en\/organisation\/","title":{"rendered":"Organisation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"pb-4\">School structure<\/h3>\n<div style=\"font-size:14pt\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Board of Trustees<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Board consists of three or more trustees who work on a voluntary basis and make the strategic management decisions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Management Committee<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Committee consists of the Head Teacher, Deputy Head, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and the Finance Trustee. It makes decisions about the day-to-day running of the school.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Teaching Group<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This group includes all teachers and is led by the Head Teacher to work together to deliver a high standard teaching. This is also the forum where the Head Teacher and Deputy share the decisions of the Board and Management Committee with teaching staff.<\/p>\n<p>All OJS teachers hold recognised teaching qualifications such as Japanese government approved teaching licences and JLTCT by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sakura-kai (The Parents Association)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Parents automatically become members of Sakura-kai when their child enrols at OJS. A school newsletter is issued to all Sakura-kai members before the start of each term and at the end of the academic year.
