She holds a certified qualification from The Society for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language by the Japan Educational Exchange and Services.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">From\u00a01998, she taught<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #3c4858;\"> Japanese language at various educational institutions, including Oxford University,\u00a0 until retiring in 2022. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14pt; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 11.25pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"color: #3c4858;\">She founded Oxford Japanese School as a private tutorial group in 1999. Upon incorporation of the school in July 2019, she stepped down as <\/span><span style=\"color: #3c4858;\">headteacher as well as\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #3c4858;\">teacher, and she has since been serving as the chairperson of the Board of Trustees.
