We are very grateful for the support from the Japan Foundation.

With the financial support of the Japan Foundation, OJS aims to improve the Kanji skills of our students.

“Kanji grade challenge” is held every term with students aiming to move up to the next grade, a bit like the belt system in Jugo.

In the first Kanji grade challenge on Saturday, 5th December, 2020, 49 students took the test and the majority were able to pass the target and move to the next grade.

In each class, we are focussing on studying kanji for the second Kanji Kentei to be held Saturday, 6th February 2021.  This time 55 students are working very hard to reach a higher kanji grade!
